What began as "our plans" for adopting, ended with total surrender to God's perfect plan for His blessing. Our journey started seven years ago with a sibling group of three brothers, and now today God has doubled that blessing with three more boys in the same sibling group.  We are learning so much about the Father's love for us, in raising these six sons. Love is a sacrifice, it is not selfish, and adoption is not about what we want, but what they need. The thousands of children waiting to be adopted are beginning to give up hope for their future, it's up to us to bring them that hope. Kevin, our eldest adoptive son, said to his case worker one week before we met him for the first time, "Go ahead and adopt out my baby brothers, I don't want them to suffer because of me. No one wants kids my age." God heard the heart of that 10 year-old little boy, and brought us to him before he gave up all hope. I knew he was ours when I met him and heard his story. The verse God gave to me to hold on to while we were waiting was Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, of good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
